Problem
Blake’s driver’s license was revoked because of 2 drunk driving convictions. Also, Blake had incurred a possession of drugs charge along with a larceny charge involving alcohol. Blake was living in Chicago and needed a clearance of his Michigan driver’s license so that he could apply for a license in Illinois. This successful appeal was done by mail so that Blake would not have to make a trip to Michigan to testify.
Result
I obtained a clearance for Blake so that he could apply for a license in Illinois. I stressed Blake’s 4-year period of sobriety along with a favorable substance abuse evaluation. I also submitted a negative drug screen, 5 supporting letters, treatment records, past AA sign-in sheets and probation discharge records.
Bottom line
Blake was granted a clearance so that he could obtain a driver’s license in Illinois.
