Problem
Jamie had 2 drunk driving convictions. As a result, his driver’s license was revoked.
Result
I secured driving privileges for Jamie. Jamie was attending Alcoholics Anonymous, had a sponsor, was working the steps and involved in his church. Additionally, he had a supportive network of family and friends. He had over 2 years of abstinence.
For the hearing, I had submitted a favorable substance abuse evaluation, negative drug screens, sassi testing results, AA sign-in sheets, counseling records, and six supporting letters, including one from his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor. At the hearing, I argued that Jamie’s driving privileges should be restored.
Bottom line
The hearing officer reinstated Jamie’s driving privileges.
